NAVIGATING GRIEF RESOURCES
Supporting Grieving Children
Grief can be overwhelming at any age, but for children, it often looks different than we expect. Whether they’ve lost a parent, sibling, friend, or other loved one, children need compassionate, age-appropriate support to help them understand and express their feelings.
It can be incredibly difficult to know how to support children when you’re navigating your own grief. In the days, months, and years that follow a loss. Just like adult grief, childhood grief is not a single event — it’s a lifelong process. Children may experience emotional, cognitive, physical, social, and behavioral responses to a death, and their needs may change as they grow.
We are committed to providing resources, guidance, and connection to help children — and the adults who care for them — navigate the complex journey of loss with honesty, empathy, and hope.
